Job Description:

Raytheon IIS is seeking someone to apply advanced Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability (EHSS) technical principles, theories, program concepts, techniques, and standards for Raytheon Company'sIntelligence, Information & Services Business.This position is responsible for Leading global EHSS programs.{C}

Responsibilities:

Manages an EHSS team with focus on effective EHSS management system implementation. Establishes operational plans with measurable contribution towards the achievement of results. Provides measurable input to new processes and standards in EHSS management systems. Collaborates with others to organize briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives. Responsible for making significant improvements of EHSS processes within the EHSS management systems to enhance performance of job area. Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function, which may include external customers or vendors. Explains policies, practices and procedures of the job area to others within the organization. May work to justify and gain cooperation of other parties on practices, policies and procedures. Must influence others outside of own job area. Requires broad management knowledge to lead global project teams. Ensure all aspects of compliance with federal, state, local, customer,and other EHS regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, Fire Code, FCC,etc. Author/develop/implementEHSSprogramsfornewprograms and updates for existingprograms. Author EHSS sections for new business pursuits and develop Basis of Estimates in support of new business development. Developadvancedapproachesandguidetheirdevelopment into a final implementation. Travelasrequiredtosupport the business. Complete/manage special projects as assigned by EHSS Leadership. Up to 35% travel may be required. Other duties as assigned by EHSS leadership.

Required Skills:  

  • 10+ years of experience in environmental health, and safety with increasing experience managing complex health and safety management systems
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and immediately change priorities when needed.
  • Ability to influence change and to sell initiatives to senior leadership
  • Demonstrated Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Successful experience working in a fast paced results oriented environment
  • Ability to be an effective team member
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to be effective in working with people across all organizational levels
  • Working knowledge of EPA and OSHA environment and safety workplace standards
  • Must be US Citizen with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance

Desired Skills: 

  • Experienced in writing proposals for new business
  • Experienced in writing Basis of Estimates (BOE)
  • OSHA VPP STAR program implementation/sustainment experience

Required Education (including Major):

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, industrialengineering,firesafety,chemistry,biology,orrelated EHS, engineering, or sciencesfield
  • Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in an EHS related field
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
